A Frustrated Shopkeeper

I set up The High Street Diaries newsletter out of sheer frustration at the decline of our high streets. I have been a shopkeeper for 25 years, and the conversations I see politicians and local councillors having about our high streets — about what has happened and what to do about it — are largely uninformed, misguided and make the situation worse.

They all totally miss the solution.

Business owners and shopkeepers themselves have a completely different view, and that is who this weekly newsletter is for — for them, and for everyone who cares for and believes in the British High Street.
